The Cieza Flowering Festival seems to have already begun a journey of no return on the road to becoming a top-level national tourism event, and this was made clear in Cieza during the celebration of the World Day of Cooperatives organised by UCOMUR, which was held in our town last Thursday and was attended by the Minister of Employment, Fátima Báñez.
The Mayor of the town, Pascual Lucas, expressed his and his corporation's firm support for the Flowering of Cieza as a unique phenomenon that should be known throughout Spain, and expressed his wish that the various administrations would support placing it on the tourist circuits as an experience of great interest that is worth experiencing.
For the Mayor, the fact that the Cieza Flower Festival acquires the importance it deserves will be a stimulus for our municipality as it will have an impact on practically all sectors of the local economy.
Pascual Lucas presented Minister Fátima Báñez with a copy of the book La Floración de Cieza, illustrated with photographs by Fernando Galindo, which was published by the La Floración Cultural Association, also mentioning the new promotional video that will be launched nationwide through the media and social networks.
