Around 80% of the extra-early fruit has already blossomed, revealing entire plantations in bloom, offering unprecedented panoramic views for the time of year we are in.

The high temperatures of the first half of winter have brought forward the arrival of flowering, to the point that in these first days of February you can already enjoy spectacular views in some places where peach trees, nectarines, almond trees, etc. already offer beautiful pictorial images, giving photography enthusiasts the opportunity to capture the first snapshots of what is expected to be a spectacular season both in terms of flowering and, if the frosts do not take their toll, in fruit production.

This month of February is being characterized by particularly high temperatures during the day, and naturally cold nights, but without reaching the dreaded frost. In these circumstances, it is curious to see how, protected from the cold that prevails in the early morning, photographers wait for the first rays of sun to capture spectacular images more typical of spring.

Guided tours of the flowering period are now available

This year, the early flowering has coincided with spectacular weather, with high daytime temperatures that are being taken advantage of by tourists and walkers to go on hiking routes through the areas where you can already enjoy the fields in bloom.

The Cultural Association La Floración together with Agromarketing is organizing guided tours, mainly on weekends, although for groups of at least 10 people they can be hired any day, which for a modest price of 15 euros, lunch included, allows you to visit the places where the flowering offers the best images.

The thinning, an opportunity to see a spectacular scene.

The fact that flowering has started early has forced producers to carry out thinning work in advance. The task, which consists of selecting the flowers that will later give rise to the fruit, eliminating those that could give rise to shoots that hinder their normal development, leaves a blanket of flowers that covers the ground in the fields, offering, for a few days, an impressive bucolic image that is used by photography enthusiasts to create authentic works of art.
