Activities have already begun at the new Cieza Peach Interpretation Centre, a space that aims to accommodate all kinds of activities and initiatives related to peaches in the broadest sense, giving an educational, cultural and touristic approach to agricultural activity in Cieza, focused on the star product, which is undoubtedly the peach.
The centre is managed by the Cultural Association La Floración, which in the first activity invited the artist from Cieza José Victor Villalba (Josevi) to expose the secrets of his works, which he develops with his innovative technique that allows him to make artistic creations from a paste whose raw material is basically the deciduous leaves of peach trees.
José Víctor Villalba thanked the Cultural Association La Floración, the entity that manages the Cieza Peach Interpretation Centre (built thanks to funds from the Leader Plan), for thinking of him to be the first to inaugurate the calendar of activities of the Centre, which aims to become the reference point for agrotourism in the area and is the only peach museum in the world.
Exhibition on the photographic beginnings of La Floración in Cieza
The Cieza Peach Interpretation Centre is, in addition to an educational space, a real exhibition hall in the middle of the countryside, which on this first occasion housed a section dedicated to the first photographs taken with the Flowering of Cieza as a background, works made by Fernando Galindo at the beginning of the 90s, and which have their symbolic value since they were at the beginning of what has become a natural, artistic and tourist phenomenon of the first magnitude 25 years later.
The Cultural Association La Floración has put all its hopes into this great project, which will be officially inaugurated next February, coinciding with the flowering spectacle of the town's fruit trees, which will create, as with the rest of the fruit trees in Cieza, an idyllic setting in this place.
